The Magis presents “Traffic”, the latest collection of furniture, designed by German designer Konstantin Grcic.
After the success of ‘ Chair_one ‘, fruit of the first collaboration of Grcic with Magis in 2003, and which is today an icon thanks to graphics and bold design, the designer continues its collaboration with the company creating a range of products in a style both strict and sober.
Grcic explains: “the correlation between the three-dimensionality downrod and geometric volumes pads marks a significant change in relation to the common connotation of metal furniture. The simplicity of its design conveys a pleasant relaxation. The detail refinements and dimensions stimulate a very palpable elegance “, proposing a creation in line with the spirit of contemporary concepts of the brand.
According to the President and founder of the Italian company, Eugenio Perazza, the collection can be defined as “the greatest challenge in which the Magis settled: employ one of the humblest materials on the market, the metal, and try to obtain objects with an aesthetic quality. This is a set of several elements designed as very simple metal cages in which your seat cushions, seat backs and arms fit easily. ”
The range, which was presented at the last edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, includes a two-seater sofa, an armchair, a ‘ chaise longue ‘, two banks, and a support
The pieces of furniture of “Traffic” are easy to combine to create several scenarios, adapting to environments and their use, and this line has been designed for both commercial and private spaces. The structures are available in seven colors; the cushions are available in a wide range of Kvadrat fabrics and leather. It also includes, a platform of support for ‘ tablets ‘ and portable computers, or just to read support.
