Now that we’ve reached the peak of spring, begins to be recurrent in each tour view fantastic gardens in homes of neighbors and friends. Foreseeing such beauty of life, color and perfume it is impossible not to feel a “nice shy” able to put a smile on the face of the saddest person in the world.
Wouldn’t it be great to have a beautiful garden all year? It’s not as impossible as that! Just watch a few rules and follow some guidelines and good practice to have a fantastic garden year-round.
Firstly you must study with some accuracy the type of soil on which I would like to make your garden. It is important to realize that different flowers or plants require different soil types, as well as exposure to the Sun and wind intensity. The exact determination of these variables will be decisive for the choice of flowers/plants that are best suited to your home.
Each species has their needs in terms of sun exposure, water and soil moisture. There are some general rules such as the fact that low and wide species being more stable and resilient than their taller counterparts and slender or flowers that have already flowered have a lower resistance to planting than those who have not yet bloomed. Most species is also seasonal, so the secret is to have a line of flowers and plants that may be blossoming as time goes on, transmitting a feeling of continuity and new year-round.
It is also important to keep the tools clean after each job, since this reduces the probability of transmitting diseases, pests or insects between plants. Simply wash each tool in a bucket with soapy water and leave to dry without direct exposure to the Sun. The most important tools to have are:
-Shovel to transplant: as the name indicates serves for sowing and transplanting any type of plant;
-Rake: Used to cut the weeds;
-Scissors to prune: Serves for cut flowers or dried plants, for that do not impede the rest of bloom;
-Watering can: Used to water the plants so as to spread fertilizers;
Now it’s time to put your hands to work and make a garden that will be the envy of the entire neighborhood. Never forget that if you need any assistance the MELOM will always be ready and accessible for you.
